Sharp Compet CS-2109B

Brand: Sharp.
Model: Compet CS-2109B.
Origin: Japan.
Introduction: 1977, this example was built in 1979.
Type: Desktop calculator operated with external AC adapter and batteries.
Functions: 4-Basic function, constant and memory (in accumulator mode or an usual memory with M+ and M-), total count, square root, percent and percent mark-up.
Display: One cristal block of 12 VFD digit plus 2 special position for indicators, one at each end. Uses the E indication on the left for overflow and M and - indication on the right for memory content and negative number. Some indicators are not used in this implementation, like the minus sign and left arrow at the left and the I and II indication on the right for two memories calculators.
Keyboard: 27 keys with spring and rubber interrupt, grouped in four banks. Two separate white keys for sign change and percent mark-up. Also has 5 sliding switches for: Konstant On/Off, Round mode, Decimal point selection, memory auto-add and On/Off.
Main chips: One Hitachi (?) SC38402 chip with datecode 9G (July 1979). Very few other discrete componets.
Logic comments: Pseudo RPN logic, very used on the 70's. For example: To compute 2+3 you must type 2 += 3 +=, to compute 5-2 you type 5 += 2 -=. Memory have 2 modes: A standard memory with M+, M-, RM and CM keys and auto-add memory when Sigma key is on the left position. In this case all results are automatically added to the memory content. Constant (K) switch is only for multiply and divide. Up/Down arrow key allows to exchange registers X and Y (last and previous number entered). Right arrow key is for delete the rightmost digit of an inputed or computed number. Also can be used to recover an overflow error.
Size: 9.05 x 8.46 x 4.13 in, 230 x 215 x 105 mm.
Accesories: 6v external adapter, dust cover.
Condition: (9/10) Mint condition, working.
