Garrett 2002 Time Machine

Brand: Garrett.
Model: 2002 "Time Machine".
Origin: USA.
Introduction: 1974.
Type: Basic desktop calculator with clock and alarm. No battery support, only AC operation.
Functions: 4-basic functions, no constant, no memory. Date and Time, Alarm at a time and Interval timer with alarm.
Display: Big orange Panaflex II display with 8 digit + indicator (sign and P.M.) with very good visibility.
Keyboard: 16 big keys plus 5 toggle switches for On/Off, Mode (Calc/Clock/Timer), Alarm On/Off (for clock and timer).
Main chips: National Semiconductor (this calculator is unopened, please see additional readings).
Logic comments: Pseudo RPN notation. To add 3+5 you must type 3 +ENTER 5 +ENTER. To subtract 8-5 type 8 +ENTER 5 -. There is no constant and no memory. Overflow is shown with all zeroes and decimal points on and is unrecoverable. There is no -0 bug but it has the decimal point ghost behavior: 2.25 + 3.75 gives 6.00 instead 6. This calculator shows the date and the time, but there is no capability for calculations with them. Date is shown in the format "month-day", without the year. Month and day changes automatically, but there is no "February 29", so you must correct it manually every 4 years! The On/Off switch in Off position is to turn off the display, not the whole machine, so the date, time, timer and the alarm will continue running.
Remarks: A top quality desktop calculator for an elegant desk with wood-made laterals and high quality materials. Another nice item from my friend Scott of California!
